Parish Life

Abraham Guild (Hospitality Committee): The hospitality committee was named for Abraham who extended hospitality to the three strangers at the Oaks of Mamre. The Greeters and Ushers make sure everyone who comes to St. Michael’s is welcome and treated like family.

Acolytes: The acolytes, consisting of both youth and adults, serve a vital role in our worship services.

Altar Guild: A ministry for women who maintain the altar by preparing the sacraments for Holy Communion. They provide flowers for the altar, clean the vestments and altar linens and they are responsible for decorating the church on holy days.

Choir: Our choir is led by our Organist and Choirmaster, Mrs. Ginger Jenkins. Ginger has been at St. Michael’s for over 50 years!

Eucharistic Ministers (EM): The EM’s are licensed by the Bishop to assist the Priest with communion and other duties.

Foyer Groups: From time to time Foyer Groups are established as a way to foster fellowship among the long standing members and newer members. These groups also serve to assist the new members to get to know others better and . . . it’s fun.

Nursery: St Michael’s provides a loving, secure, safe, clean and nurturing environment. Teaching materials are used for early childhood ministries, using the scriptures designated for that day, are used for a short Bible lesson each week.

St. Michael’s Memorial Garden: This Garden is for the interment of ashes. The names, birth and death dates are engraved on a plaque. There are specific requirements for interment in the Memorial Gardens. For more information contact the church office.
